2Numb2C from Hellebecq, BE Joel was the lead singer for many covers bands till he decided to strike off on his own and do his own thing. He is inspired by the songs of the 80s so if that is your favorite decade you will surely love 2Numb2C

The Mad Pride from Wollongong, NSW, AU is the brainchild of songwriter Rowan Galagher The variety here is amazing. The songs run the range from soft, almost acoustical to moody and experimental enough to be the sound track to a Tim Burton movie. They each push the limits of their genre. Be sure and listen to them all as they are very different and there is sure to be something you really like.

FairplayCollective from New York, NY is actually several solo singer/songwriters who have banded together for support. They aren’t an actual band although often one or more of them will preform at the same gig. They are made up of Mark Dignam, Brendan O’ Shea, Michael Brunnock from Ireland and Jenna Nicholls and Niall Connolly from the US. All are now working in New York.

David Hopkins from Las Vegas, NV is another great singer/songwriter who came to the US from Ireland. He got his start in Music with the rock group Lir. He did a stint with the Who and has opened for Sinead O’Conner, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice, The Frames, and Matt Nathanson, among many others. His album There Are Debts is available through Amazon and ITunes. It is also on Lastfm here.

Donna Fullman from Brighton, UK. Donna is another great artist recommended by Andy Hearn. Donna’s songs are both lyrically and musically beautiful. She was influenced by the likes of John Lennon, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan and she is following in the great tradition of those giants. Her songs are amazingly brilliant. You will be hearing more from her.

Our readers from the Belfast area should definitely take this event in. The next supergroup a la the Beatles might be right on your doorstep. Two of Fanrealm’s favorites are taking part in the festival. Mickey Coleman will be there on the 24th and Oracle will be playing on the 27th along with another band Oracle’s lead guitarist Chris Logan plays in called Exit. I have listened to them on my space too and they are excellent.

Thanks so much to David from Oracle for the heads up on this event. Oracle will be playing at 8PM sharp on the 27th. You don’t want to miss them (remember that whole Beatles warning above.. ).They are definitely a band to watch.
