June launches us into no holds barred festival season and there are some really great ones happening that you won’t want to miss. Attending a festival supports your local Celtic community and is a great way to see a lot of great bands in one location for a very reasonable price. There’s a lot to do at festivals. Some have Highland Games. Even if you’re not an athlete they’re fun to watch. There are often whiskey tasting events, sheepherding demonstrations, dance exhibitions, kids’ activities and lots of great food and beer to be had. And there are also many vendors booths which provide some great shopping (my own personal athletic event ). So get yourselves to a festival.
