Like all the other Saw Doctors fans in the US, we here at Fanrealm are eagerly awaiting the band’s return to the US. We have been coming up in a lot of searches for their dates so I thought it was a good time to re-post their schedule. These are all the dates they have posted on their website for the month of August.

If they are coming anywhere near you we strongly recommend that you go see this phenomenal band. There have been called the Beatles of Ireland and it is a comparison that is well earned. This is a group that has a multi-generational appeal and they have fans of all ages. They put on a great show and have a body of work under their belts that is amazing. There are about 21 more cities not yet selling. I will always update the page I linked to above when more cities are added rather than redo the whole list each time. Summer With the Saw Doctors

The Saw Doctors are one of the most popular groups we cover. The Fanrealm staff is among the hoards of Saw Doctors fans on this side of the Atlantic so we are very excited when we hear news about them. The band has recently released a single from their upcoming album. The single is called Takin’ the Train I will embed the video into this post so you can enjoy it. I will also include their summer tour schedule so you can make plans to see them. They are playing several festivals this summer including the world famous Oxygen in Ireland and Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin, Ohio and several more in the US and the UK. If you are in one of the cities they will be touring in be sure to catch them.

The Saw Doctors

The Saw Doctors have released the single Takin’ the Train from their new cd. The video of Takin’ the Train can be seen here

On Saturday July 3 The Saw Doctors will appear at the Millennium Forum in Newmarket Street, Derry. They will be at The Diamond as part of the Donegal Summer Festival in Donegal on Sunday July 4th.

Celtic Thunder

A few more cities are now selling tickets for the upcoming Celtic Thunder tour. The tour will run from Sept – Dec and include cities in both Canada and the US. To check out the updates just click here In addition to the cities that are newly added, Minneapolis will be doing a pre-sale on July 7. The pre-sale code for Celtic Thunder shows is generally DUBLIN. I will keep checking with both the Celtic Thunder website and Ticketmaster and let you know when more cities are on sale.

Celtic Thunder has two new cds in the works. One will be a Christmas Album and the other is an album of Irish tunes tentatively called Heritage. No release date has been given for either CD but I would expect they would be available in time for the fall tour.

Gaelic Storm

The long awaited new cd from Gaelic Storm, Cabbage is available for pre-order in advance of the August 3rd release date. When you pre-order your cd from the Gaelic Storm website you get:

Coyote Run

Coyote Run has announced the release of their new cd Ten Years Running: A Retrospective To celebrate both the cd and the anniversary of the band they are holding two special concerts in their hometown of Williamsburg VA on July 16th and 17th they will perform at the Kimball Theater. These shows are must see for all Coyote Run fans. Former band members will be joining them on stage and they should bring the house down. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-HISTORY.

Coyote Run will also appear at the Virginia Highlands Festival in Abington, VA later in the month. For more info on the festival check this post

Marc Gunn

Marc Gunn’s latest cd Kilted For Her Pleasure is at the printers and will be ready soon. Marc is one of the poineers of the whole Celtic/Indie movement that we all enjoy today.

Celtic Thunder Tickets now on sale for Montclair show

Another city is now selling tickets of the Fall Celtic Thunder tour. I will add them to the other post but for the fans wanting tickets for the Montclair, NJ show I will put the links up here. The show is on December 5, 2010 at the Wellmont Theater. There are two shows, a matinee at 2:30PM and an evening show at 8 PM

Celtic Thunder Tickets now available in more cities

Many people have emailed me about where they can get tickets for the fall Celtic Thunder tour. The best place is from the local PBS station in the given cities as they will have the best seats. They are also very costly so people are searching for other options, especially if they are want several tickets. There are a very few venues selling their own tickets. Most tickets are being sold through Ticketmaster/LiveNations. I will add those links for the cities that are selling. This is a very long tour but Ticketmaster is not yet selling tickets for most cities. The Thunder Bay show is Monday night but as far as I could tell from the venue website tickets are still available.

Click on the links below (in red) for more info on the shows selling tickets now. I will post updates as more cities are added. I have only added links for cities that are actually selling tickets or will be this week. For those with pre-sale dates the pre-sale code is DUBLIN.

Second Shows added to venues on Up & Coming Tour

Paul McCartney has added second shows to some of his venues. Because of demand a second show has been added in Pittsburgh. The new one will be the following night on Thursday August 19 at the Consol Energy Arena. Toronto has sold out so a second show is being added there also. The new showdate is Monday August 9th also at the Air Canada center. I have updated the post with Paul’s tour to reflect these changes.

Charlotte added to Up and Coming Tour

Paul McCartney has announced that Charlotte, NC has been added to his tour. He will play the Time Warner Arena on July 28. This will be his first appearance in NC in 17 years. I have updates the schedule in his tour post to reflect this change.
