I am always on the lookout for new (to me anyway) Celtic Music. MySpace is a great resource to me for new bands. Most of these are active on the festival circuit and many have cds at cdbaby so I will list my latest finds here. Check them out and buy their cds or mp3s. Support Indy music!
Black Irish Band These guys are great. Hooley Okay I admit it was the name that caught my eye. More about that in a future post. But their music didn’t disappoint either. This band hails from Alabama. Barley Juice Really great Pennsylvania band. They have been around a long time but I managed to miss them until now. Their MySpace page is http://www.myspace.com/barleyjuice Their cds are available on their website http://www.barleyjuice.com
Raining Hearts Great young band from PA. Their MySpace page is http://www.myspace.com/rainingheartsband Give them a listen I’m sure you will be impressed also.

Gael Warning This band calls themselves Progressive / Celtic / Fusion They are from Charlotte, NC. You can hear them at http://www.myspace.com/gaelwarning Their cds can be purchased at cdbaby.
Ard Ri This is an Acoustic/Folk band with some great original material. They come from Derry and play several major Irish festivals. CD in the works. The band name translates to High King. You can hear them at http://www.myspace.com/ardri2
ORACLE I’m not sure if this is a band or one person who laid down several tracks. I just know the music is great. He/they are from Northern Ireland also. No cd info and I am assuming he/they are young but the talent is really there. I hope to hear more of him/them. Check out the music here: http://www.myspace.com/davidmcclean
