A while back I did a post listing several of the top Canadian Celtic acts. This time I will list some that may not be as well known but are well worth a listen. I am pretty much using bands that have pages at ReverbNation so I can add the widget and you can listen to them with ease. I am also adding two Indies because they are so good I had to share them with you.
Doug Folkins
Doug calls his music Folk / Celtic/Country / Acoustic Rock He is from Campbell River, BC and gigs in that area.
Dust Rhinos
This band is from Winnipeg, MB, CA and they call their music Other / Celtic Rock / Celtic I call them the kind of foot stompin’, arse kickin band that will keep the audience happy in even the wildest venues so what’s not to like?
The Tartan Terrors
This band is from Burlington, ON, CA and they call their music World/Reggae / Celtic / Comedy. They have been hitting the festival circuit the past few years so be sure to catch them if you can.
Canadian Indies
Liam Titcomb
I have featured Liam before but his music is so good he well worth a second look. He is from Toronto and calls his music Rock / Folk / Pop.
The Banshee
I literally stumbled upon The Banshee at ReverbNation this morning and can’t get enough of their music. They are from Oshawa, ON, CA. I’d love to know more about this band so I will keep looking for more info on them.
