Electric Dreams ~ by Andy Hearn

October 12, 2010
Andy Hearn is a talented singer/songwriter from Blackpool, UK. After writing songs for about 10 years he decided to put some up on Myspace and people took notice right away. He has now signed with Tree Records and will have a cd out soon. He has just released a single called Electric Dreams. Andy has been favorably compared to John Lennon and you can certainly hear the influence of the Beatles in his music. Make no mistake his music is completely his own but it has much of the same atmosphere and feel that the Beatles, particularly John, had in their music. Electric Dreams pays homage to the Psychedelic sounds of the 60s as well and would have been as popular then as now. The other song on this single (singles always had two songs an A and a B side) is called Open Up Your Mind. This song has a bit more of a mellow pop melody but compliments the more raw and powerful rock feel of Electric Dreams perfectly. Whether the 60s are something cool and retro to you or they are part of your ill spent youth, you'll loveElectric Dreams. I expect to hear a lot more great music from Andy. Electric Dreams features Dave Farrar on lead guitar and Open Up Your Mind was arranged by Bob Keeton. The great artwork on the cover is by Rick Hunt. Electric Dreams is available at lastfm, AmazonUK and ITunes here You can friend Andy at myspace here and at Facebook here Here is some of Andy's great music to enjoy. I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I am with his talent.
